Air heater
RELCO wet & dry manufactures direct and indirect heaters, with gas or oil burners, completely in stainless steel.

The purpose of the heater before a dryer is usually to produce large volumes of hot process air in an indirect way.

RELCO wet & dry heaters can be placed vertically or horizontally and are completely manufactured of stainless steel, AISI 304.
The combustion chamber is made of heat resistant stainless steel, including all the parts lighted up by the flame.

The standard indirect air heater is suitable for gas burning, while for burning oil yet a different quality of stainless steel is to be selected for the combustion chamber.
The difference in expansions will be equalised by a compensator.

The RELCO wet & dry air heater is suitable for combustion under overpressure, being sealed airtight

The positions of the flange connections for air in- and outlet depend on the lay-out of the total installation. Normally, these can be turned around 360 degrees. The hot process air outlet may also be positioned at the top of the heater, right next to the burner.

Heat recovery
Where the exhaust air from the dryer is cleaned through a bag filter, the recovery of its heat becomes easier.

Circulating water is heated by the exhaust air in a finned tubular heat exchanger. The incoming fresh air for the dryer is then preheated with this same water, also in a finned tubular heat exchanger.

In such a system, it is possible to save approximately 15% on energy in the air heater.
